Our Story

Founded in 1991 by John C. (Chris) Swalling, our firm was established on the principle of providing Alaskan-owned businesses with the same depth of expertise as larger international accounting firms. Chris Swalling, a lifelong Alaskan, had worked for 20 years in Anchorage for international accounting firms before deciding to start his own practice. He saw an opportunity to fill the gap left by these firms as they migrated out of Alaska, and thus, Swalling & Associates, P.C. was born.
