Our History
The Mt. Williamson Motel and Base Camp has a rich history dating back over four decades of exploring the Sierra. Originally, it was a haven for backpackers and thru-hikers, offering resupply services and warm hospitality. In 2019, we were fortunate enough to have new owners, Doug and Lauralyn Hundley, who share a deep love for the Sierra, backpacking, and the hiking community. They've brought new energy and a passion for serving the community year-round with educational, creativity, and historical retreats and workshops.
Services Offered
We understand the importance of a comfortable stay after a day of exploring. Our cabins offer new beds, linens, and towels, ensuring you have a restful night's sleep. Enjoy the stunning views of the Eastern Sierra from your cabin or explore the surrounding areas, knowing that our base camp is here to support your adventure. Whether you're looking to resupply, relax, or recharge, we're here to help.
