JDC Construction, Inc. is a Gold Hill/Boulder-based company that has been in business since 1984. The owner, Jeffrey Combelic, has been in the building industry for over 35 years and performs work throughout Boulder County and surrounding areas. JDC Construction, Inc. specializes in Custom Homes, Additions, Remodeling, Renovations, Basement Creation, Solar Design, and Alternative building/Energy techniques.

Our History

JDC Construction has been in business since 1984 and has earned a reputation for quality, integrity, and precision. Jeffrey Combelic, the owner and founder, has been in the construction industry ever since his summer jobs back in high school over 40 years ago. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder with a degree in Mathematics which he skillfully applies to his design and carpentry work. With vast experience and expertise, Jeffrey takes pride in attractive design, accurate estimating, quality work, and on-time delivery.

Our Expertise in Green Building

JDC Construction, Inc. is one of the original "Green Builders." In addition to our Hybrid Home Building System* designs, we are currently launching a new division called Zero Carbon Homes which will combine passive solar design, solar cell roofing, and if so desired, wind power. Optimally, we envision an average home with net-Zero heating and electric bills. Our current Hybrid Homes achieve 40% lower heating bills and at least 60% lower electric bills.

We take pride in attractive and intelligent design, accurate estimating, quality work, and on-time delivery. We particularly enjoy working with our clients from the beginning to create a product tailored to their tastes, needs, and budget. We also work on projects which have already been designed.

Builder of the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse

In 1998, we were chosen to erect the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse gift from Tajikistan. This treasure was confined to wooden crates at the Boulder sewage treatment facility for 8 years. In December of 1998, the Teahouse finally starts its intricate assembly. More pictures and our personal experiences can be previewed here.
