Community Involvement

We are proud to support the schools and communities that we serve. Tim is a member of the Independence Chamber Ambassador's Club, Lion's Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Knights of Columbus. We enjoy working with local schools through Junior Achievement and Silver Cord Advisory Board and support the Booster clubs and organizations at Independence, Oelwein, Jesup, East Buchanan and West Central Schools. Tim is also a member of the Buchanan County Economic Development, Jesup Chamber of Commerce, Oelwein Chamber and Area Development, and Independence Area Chamber of Commerce, a past chamber president, and was honored as Business Person of the Year.

Our team enjoys volunteering and participating in many local events in Independence, Oelwein, Jesup, Fairbank, Aurora, Westgate, Strawberry Point and Hazleton.

Our Agent

A proud native of Independence, Tim joined State Farm Administrative Services after graduation from UNI. After several roles with the corporate offices, Tim and his wife Shelly returned to Independence to open the agency and raise their 3 children. They enjoy snowmobiling, boating, and cheering on the St. John's Eagles and Independence Mustangs at all the kids' events!
