At The Learning Garden, we are proud to be a private, non-profit preschool that offers developmentally appropriate programs for children aged 3-6 years, as well as extended day programs. Our mission is to support children and their families by developing confidence, respect, and trust in a nurturing environment.
Our Programs
We offer a range of programs to meet the diverse needs of our families. Our Preschool program is designed for children aged 2.9-4 years and is a safe and nurturing environment. Our Pre-K program is designed for children aged 4-5 years and emphasizes skills for Kindergarten readiness. Our Enrichment program is available for children aged 2.9-5 years and offers additional educational opportunities to support families who need a longer day.
Our History
The Learning Garden was established in 1983 and has been serving the Lower Cape towns of Orleans, Eastham, Brewster, Chatham, and Harwich for over 40 years. We are proud of our student-teacher ratios in all our programs and our focus on helping children gain the necessary skills they will need to become excellent students as they continue their education at the elementary school level.
Our Team
Our team of experienced and certified teachers and staff are dedicated to providing a high-quality education and a nurturing environment for our children. Our directors, Hanna Schneider and Jennifer Gaeta, have many years of experience and have worked together to develop our programs and curriculum.
Learning Environment
Our school is located on a 2-acre parcel of land in Orleans and features sunny, cheerful classrooms and a large, well-equipped playground. Our facilities are designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment for our children to learn and grow.
Community
We believe in the importance of community and building strong relationships with our families. We offer regular concerts, art shows, and other special events throughout the year. We also offer a range of opportunities for parents to get involved and support our school, including our parent-teacher organization.
