Our Story

Salon & Spa was born from the unwavering passion and dedication of Melissa Marie, a cosmetology graduate driven by a lifelong love for the beauty industry. Melissa's journey into the world of hair and beauty began with a deep fascination and a desire to share her knowledge and creativity with others.

Growing up surrounded by a family of cosmetologists, Melissa was exposed to the art and science of beauty from a young age. While her initial career path took her in a different direction, her passion for the beauty industry never waned. Returning to school at State College of Beauty Culture, Melissa embraced her dream of becoming a stylist and eventually opening her own salon.

Her experience includes an internship at an exclusive Paul Mitchell salon, gaining invaluable insight into the day-to-day operations of a high-end salon. She continued to hone her skills and expand her knowledge at The Barber's Family Hairstyling, where she mastered the art of delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Fueled by a desire to create a unique space where clients could experience personalized beauty and relaxation, Melissa founded Salon & Spa in September 2014. The salon quickly gained a reputation for its commitment to excellence, advanced techniques, and welcoming atmosphere.

Over the years, Melissa's dedication to education has led her to become a highly skilled stylist specializing in haircuts, coloring, and hair extensions. She has earned the title of certified Hair Extensionist and has even become a trainer for PerfessTress, one of her favorite hair extension lines.

Melissa's passion extends beyond hair, and she has incorporated her love for high-performance makeup with Maribella Beauty, a line of cosmetics that caters to a wide range of skin types and ages.
