Meet Dr. Kuhta

Dr. Kuhta is a board-certified orthodontist who attended the University of Pennsylvania's School of Dental Medicine, a program currently ranked the best dental school in the country. While there, she had the opportunity to compete for a scholarship to obtain a dual degree for a Master's in Higher Education and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine, both of which she completed in four years. Not only did Dr. Kuhta graduate with highest academic honors, she was selected to treat patients in the Advanced Clinical Honors department.

The field of orthodontics is the perfect combination of art and science, allowing Dr. Kuhta to utilize skills in both science and art to benefit patients. Upon graduating from Penn, she moved to Boston to attend the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for a two-year residency in orthodontics. Fortunately, when it came time to graduate, her childhood orthodontist, Dr. Roy McAnnally, was ready to bring on an associate, and she was able to move back to Michigan to practice.

Dr. Kuhta is married to her dental school crush, Dr. Chad Speirs, and they are raising three little boys on their family farm. In her free time, Dr. Kuhta loves to spend time outside, trail running, and chasing around whichever chicken, or kid, gets loose. She is focused on holistic health and wellness, bringing that passion into her orthodontic practice.

• Airway and Sleep Apnea: The first signs of sleep apnea are often oral issues. We'll diagnose and assist in oral appliance therapy.

• Braces & Invisalign: Offering various traditional metal braces or clear braces such as Invisalign.

• Two-Phase Treatment: Two steps to optimize the jaw relationships for ideal function and facial appearance.

• Retainers: Custom made to hold teeth in position after surgery or any method of realigning teeth.

• Dentofacial Orthopedics: Normalize the growth of bone structure and repair any imbalances of the face and jaw.
