Providing Total Solutions for Your Building Needs
The Central Alabama Aging Consortium (CAAC) is a dedicated organization that forms part of a state-wide aging network. We aim to provide a variety of Home and Community-based services to senior and disabled populations, as well as their caregivers, within Autauga, Elmore, and Montgomery counties. Our main goal is to develop, coordinate, and deliver services that support an active and independent lifestyle for those we serve, allowing them to live and thrive in their communities.
At CAAC, we understand the importance of advocacy and the need for accessible resources for the elderly and disabled. We offer a range of services designed to meet the unique needs of our clients, including Advocacy, In-Home Services, Community Based Services, and Preventative Services. Each service is tailored to promote independence, improve quality of life, and address the specific challenges faced by seniors and individuals with disabilities in our region.
Advocacy
CAAC is committed to advocating for the rights and needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities. We work closely with local, state, and national organizations to ensure that our clients have access to the resources and support they need to live fulfilling lives. Our advocacy services include representation in policy discussions, assistance with navigating complex healthcare systems, and support in accessing essential services such as transportation, nutrition, and housing.
In-Home Services
Our In-Home Services are designed to help seniors and individuals with disabilities maintain their independence and continue living in their own homes. These services include personal care assistance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication management. We understand the importance of maintaining dignity and independence, and our In-Home Services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
Community Based Services
CAAC offers a variety of Community Based Services aimed at promoting social interaction, improving health and well-being, and providing access to essential resources. These services include adult day care programs, transportation services, nutrition programs, and educational workshops. Our Community Based Services are designed to foster connections and support within the community, helping seniors and individuals with disabilities to stay engaged and active.
Preventative Services
Preventative Services are crucial in maintaining the health and well-being of seniors and individuals with disabilities. CAAC offers a range of preventative services, including health screenings, wellness programs, and fall prevention initiatives. These services are designed to identify potential health risks early and provide clients with the tools and resources they need to manage their health effectively.
Upcoming Events
At CAAC, we believe in the importance of community engagement and social interaction. We regularly host and participate in events aimed at promoting awareness, education, and support for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Our annual May Fest event, for example, attracts hundreds of attendees and offers a range of activities, resources, and information on services available in the community.
By attending our events, seniors and their caregivers can connect with local organizations, access valuable resources, and learn more about the services available to them. We invite you to join us at our upcoming events and look forward to seeing you there.
