Our team is comprised of experienced and knowledgeable staff members who have been with Hoods for a long time. Owner: Nanette Slappey West

In March 2017, Nanette Slappey West acquired Hoods Tax & Accounting Service, LLC. and has been humbled by the decision of the employees to remain with the firm. Mrs. Slappey West completed her undergraduate studies at Belmont University and the University of North Carolina at Asheville, with advanced studies at Western Carolina University. She is currently pursuing a CMA and has spent most of her career working as a corporate controller, in human resources, business development, and public accounting. She has several years of experience in tax planning, tax preparation, and presenting trainings, seminars, and workshops on various topics, including commercial and government-based subject matter at the local, state, and national levels. Mrs. Slappey West is an Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a member of Sleeter Consulting Group, the Intuit Speakers Bureau, and the Institute of Certified Management Accountants. She has also had several articles published.
