Northern Harmony

Village Harmony is a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to the study, performance, and celebration of diverse styles of traditional choral music. Our mission is to promote cultural awareness and community through direct and ethical cultural exchange. We offer a wide range of educational and performance opportunities for amateur musicians around the world.

Summer Camps and Programs

Our summer camps and programs include Teen Traveling Camps, Teen Residential Camps, Adult Residential Weeks, and International Camps. These programs provide a unique opportunity for musicians to learn from and perform with international culture-bearing musicians. We have camps in the US, Europe, and beyond, catering to musicians of all ages and skill levels.

Affiliated Community Choirs

We also sponsor a number of affiliated community choirs across the US and abroad. These choirs offer regular rehearsals and performances, often with guest leaders from our international network. Some of our affiliated choirs include the Boston Harmony, Chicago World Music Chorus, and the Wild Asheville Community Chorus.

Performing Tours and Residencies

Each year, we sponsor individual tradition bearers and international folk music ensembles to come to the USA to perform and/or teach with us. This offers a unique opportunity for musicians to learn from and perform with musicians from around the world.

Online Courses and Workshops

We also offer a variety of online workshops and courses in partnership with our international teaching community of tradition bearers. These courses range from beginner to advanced levels and cover a range of musical styles and traditions.
