Whitefish Bay Shorewood Nursery School

Whitefish Bay Shorewood Nursery School has been cultivating a love of learning in children for over 60 years. Our founders, a group of parents, established a school that recognizes and appreciates every child's unique approach to learning. We believe that play is a fundamental aspect of early childhood development, and we provide a variety of play-based activities that foster imagination, social skills, and foundational academic knowledge. Our approach lays the groundwork for strong academic and personal success in the future.

Our Philosophy and Services

At Whitefish Bay Shorewood Nursery School, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child. Our programs are designed to promote learning through play, which is essential for young children's growth and development. We offer the following programs to meet the needs of children of different ages:

• Twos and Threes Program: This program is designed for children who were born on or before March 1, 2022. We provide a play-based curriculum that introduces children to basic educational concepts while fostering social skills and independence.
• Threes and Fours Program: Children who will be three years old by September 1, 2024, are eligible for this program. It builds on the foundational knowledge introduced in the Twos and Threes program and prepares children for kindergarten.
• Summer Camp: Our summer camp program offers a variety of activities that promote learning and fun during the summer months. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore, play, and make new friends.

Admission and Registration

We welcome new families to our school and encourage them to enroll early as our classes fill up quickly. We have a first-come, first-served registration policy. Here are the steps to register:

1. Complete the registration form and mail it with a deposit check to the address listed on the form.

2. For new students, there is a $50 non-refundable registration fee due at the time of registration. Once registration has been accepted and a spot in the program has been confirmed, we require a $200 non-refundable down payment that will be applied towards tuition. For returning students, there is a $200 non-refundable deposit which will be applied toward tuition.

3. After all registration materials are received, a welcome email will be sent out within two weeks to confirm your child's spot.

Enrollment Forms and Tuition

All enrolled students must complete the following forms by the beginning of the school year:

• Childcare Enrollment Form
• Health History Immunization Form
• Child Health Report (this form requires a signature by your child's physician)
• Field Trip Consent Form
• Photography Consent Form
• Medical Treatment Consent Form

Tuition is due before the first day of the Fall and Spring semesters. We accept cash, check, credit card, or Venmo. There is a 3% surcharge for paying by credit card. Here are the tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year:

• 3-4 year old class:

+ 5 days: $1,600 per semester

+ 3 days (M/W/F): $1,070 per semester

+ 2 days (T/Th): $830 per semester

• 2-3 year old class:

+ 3 days (M/W/F): $1,070 per semester

+ 2 days (T/Th): $830 per semester

There is an early drop-off charge for the 3-4 year old class, and an extended stay charge for the 2-3 year old class. Please refer to our website or contact us for more information.
