Embracing the past, fostering the future, one design at a time.
Greenfield Architects is a firm with a deep commitment to creating spaces that are both aesthetically compelling and functionally enriching. Driven by a passion for sustainable design and a dedication to understanding the unique needs of each client, we strive to build structures that stand the test of time and seamlessly integrate with their surroundings. Our approach encompasses a collaborative process, ensuring that every project reflects the vision and aspirations of those who will inhabit it.
Designing for Diverse Needs
Our portfolio showcases a wide range of project types, each approached with the same meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to excellence. From intimate Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) that maximize space and natural light to sprawling corporate retreats nestled amidst Wyoming's breathtaking landscapes, we excel at crafting spaces that are as diverse as our clients' needs.
We believe that every building has the potential to tell a story, to reflect its purpose and its environment. In the heart of Colorado's Andes Mountains, we designed a remarkable Buena Vista Riverfront Home, a testament to our ability to harmonize design with nature. This elegant 2,200-square-foot home, boasting stunning views of the Collegiate Peaks and the panoramic Arkansas River, embraces sustainable practices, utilizing geothermal technology and industry-leading energy efficiency measures.
Our dedication to environmental stewardship extends to all of our projects. The 1661-acre Corporate Retreat in rural Wyoming exemplifies this commitment. Designed to minimize environmental impact, this multi-phased development plan integrates a state-of-the-art solar photovoltaic center, a variety of eco-friendly building practices, and outdoor amenities that seamlessly connect guests with the natural beauty of their surroundings.
The Wildlife Center and Corporate Headquarters near Golden, Colorado, is another project where environmental responsibility takes center stage. This innovative campus, spanning 40.2 acres, is a testament to our ability to blend functionality with environmental mindfulness.
The campus blends seamlessly with its surroundings, featuring repurposed agricultural design elements and meticulously rehabilitated historic buildings. The site plan, which incorporates a buffer zone of grazing land between the development and Highway 93, minimizes the impact on the existing ecosystem. The project will serve as a hub for wildlife conservation education, providing a space for learning, reflection, and action.
Transforming Existing Spaces
Our expertise extends beyond new constructions. We thrive on breathing new life into existing spaces, transforming outdated homes into vibrant sanctuaries. A recent project in North Boulder involved transforming a modest 720-square-foot bungalow into a light-filled and spacious home. By adding a new master bedroom and bathroom, a partial second floor, a new kitchen, entryway, and updating finishes throughout, we created an open and inviting living environment. The design maximized natural light, preserved existing trees, and incorporated energy-efficient features.
We are deeply passionate about creating spaces that enhance lives, foster connection and inspire creativity. Whether it's a cozy ADU, a breathtaking riverfront home, a sustainable corporate retreat, a wildlife conservation center, or a revitalized residential haven, we approach every project with the same unwavering commitment to excellence, sustainability, and client satisfaction.
