At Explore and Learn Childcare and Learning Center, we are dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for each child during their formative years. Our goal is to provide a variety of stimulating activities to promote a child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We believe that every child is unique and deserves a tailored approach to their learning and development.

Our Philosophy

We believe that every child is a curious and inquisitive individual, and our philosophy is centered around fostering independence and self-confidence. We encourage children to be inquisitive, allowing them to explore the world around them and reach their fullest potential. We recognize that every child develops at their own pace, and our curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of each child.

Our Programs

We offer a range of programs to cater to the diverse needs of each child. Our programs are designed to foster learning and development, and are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. Our programs include:

• Infant Care: We provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants 6 weeks to 12 months.
• Toddler Care: Our toddler program is designed for children 1-2 years old and focuses on socialization, exploration, and play.
• Pre-School: Our pre-school program is designed for children 2-5 years old and focuses on socialization, literacy, and numeracy.
• Kindergarten: Our kindergarten program is designed for children 5-6 years old and focuses on socialization, literacy, numeracy, and cognitive development.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of each child and is centered around the Creative Curriculum. Our curriculum includes language development, physical development, art, music, socialization, and self-help skills. We believe that each child develops at their own pace, and our curriculum is designed to meet the unique needs of each child.

Inclusion

We believe in creating an inclusive environment that values the uniqueness of each person. We strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children of all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Accreditation

We are fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. We are also participants of the Keystone Stars Program, a voluntary continuous quality improvement program in the state of Pennsylvania. We maintain a Four-Star rating, indicating the highest level of quality care.

Admissions

Enrollment is open to infants 6 weeks to children 12 years of age. We offer many programs to fit the needs of every child. Enrollment shall be granted without discrimination in regard to sex, race, creed, gender, religion, and disability within safety limits. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday 6:30am-6:00pm. Placement

Interested parents and children are invited to tour the center and meet the staff. They may also review and complete all necessary paperwork prior to enrollment. Placement will occur on a first-come, first-served basis. If not included as part of the tour, prior to the child's attendance, a conference with the parent and child is offered to acquaint each new family with the environment, staff, and schedule for the child.

Enrollment Options

We offer two enrollment options: full-time and part-time enrollment.

• Full-Time: A child who is enrolled Monday through Friday and attends for more than four hours per day is considered full-time. The child must be enrolled year-round (January through December) to be entitled to full-time benefits (example; one free week during family vacations).
• Part-Time: A child who is enrolled three, four, or five half-days (4 hours or less per day) per week is considered part-time. Children who are enrolled three full-time days are considered part-time. Children enrolled five days per week for greater than four hours per day but who only attend the center during the school year (example; from September to June) are also considered part-time.
