Our Story
Elder Care was founded by Marilyn Maize in 1987, with a personal understanding of the challenges that come with aging. Marilyn's daughter, Robbin Gardner, joined the company a few years later, bringing with her a passion for delivering outstanding service. Together, they developed Elder Care into one of Kansas City's premier, locally-owned and operated home care companies.
Years later, Kevin Edwards purchased the business, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the healthcare field. Kevin's wife, Lori, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2007, and he witnessed firsthand the value of dependable and compassionate caregivers. Prior to acquiring Elder Care, Kevin spent over 10 years working in the Medicare Advantage segment to maintain and improve the health and quality of life of seniors in the Kansas City area.
