A Legacy of Service

The foundation of our success lies in the vision and dedication of our founder, William 'Bill' G. Volkman. Establishing Volkman Plumbing and Heating in 1932, Bill laid the groundwork for a company that would become synonymous with quality and reliability in Northeast Nebraska. From humble beginnings at 207 S. 3rd Street in Norfolk, Bill's unwavering commitment led to the growth of a thriving business that pioneered new technologies and set the standard for excellence in the industry.

Bill's unique welding and installation skills opened doors to opportunities far and wide, extending beyond the borders of Norfolk. He even traveled to distant towns to address specific needs, showcasing his expertise and commitment to serving clients wherever they were located. In 1938, his talents were called upon to install a boiler at the Ogallala Post Office, solidifying his reputation as a skilled and sought-after professional.

Growth and Evolution

The 1960s marked a pivotal moment in our history with the incorporation of Volkman Plumbing & Heating, solidifying our standing as a leading force in the industry. Bill continued to share his knowledge and experience, working alongside partners who would contribute to the company's ongoing success. In 1973, Bill retired, passing the torch to his son, Aaron G. Volkman, who assumed the role of president and steered the company into a new era of growth and expansion.

Driven by its commitment to progress, Volkman Plumbing & Heating moved to its current location, moved into a spacious new facility at 211 S. 3rd Street, Norfolk in 1974. This expansion allowed us to accommodate the increased team and workload, reflecting the growing demand for our exceptional services.

A Team Committed to Excellence

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Volkman Plumbing & Heating continued to flourish, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. We welcomed new team members, expanded our service offerings, and invested in state-of-the-art equipment to ensure we could meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients.

Today, with a fleet of 20 service vehicles and a dedicated team of nearly 35 employees, we proudly serve a wide range of residential and commercial clients in Northeast Nebraska. Our commitment to providing prompt, reliable, and efficient service remains unwavering, as we strive to uphold the legacy of excellence established by our founder.
