Our Team

Joshua Sturges, the founder of Sturges Tax & Accounting, lives in Nora Springs with his wife Nancy and their three children - Henrik, Rory, and Paxton. In their free time, they enjoy spending time together outdoors, playing with their dog Boof, going on family vacations, attending sporting events, and being active in their community. Joshua is also the President of the Nora Springs Impact Group, which strives to improve the town of Nora Springs through their non-profit activities.

While growing up on the family farm just outside of Rockwell, IA, Joshua learned the values of hard work and the struggles that come with being self-employed. Watching his family go through the ups and downs of farming, he knew that he wanted to discover ways to help and minimize the financial strains of farmers and small business. He obtained his bachelor's degree in accounting from Buena Vista University and has been formally endorsed as a tax professional by the Internal Revenue Service. His educational background and endorsement - paired with previously working alongside construction contractors and on the family farm for the past 25 years - allows him to relate to clients on a unique level.
