At Mataponi, we are dedicated to inspiring girls to be the best they can be. Our rich traditions, which date back over 100 years, have been the foundation of our camp's success. Located on the beautiful shores of Sebago Lake, Camp Mataponi offers a full 7-week session or a 4-week session with an option to stay.

Our motto, "You don't have to be the best, just try your best, " is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every camper is unique and has the potential to grow and develop at their own pace. Our program is designed to promote both individual and group development, with just the right amount of structure to ensure a positive and rewarding experience.

Our Program Activities

Mataponi offers a wide range of activities for girls of all ages and abilities. From sports and water activities to arts and crafts, there is something for everyone. Our carefully designed, structured program includes:

• Juniors & Middie A's: Our youngest campers enjoy a variety of age-appropriate activities, including swimming, boating, tennis, and arts and crafts.
• Middie B's & Inters: As campers grow and develop, they have the opportunity to try new activities, such as horseback riding, archery, and drama.
• Subs & Seniors: Our oldest campers take on leadership roles and have the opportunity to specialize in their favorite activities, including waterskiing, sailing, and dance.
• Leaders in Training: Our Leaders in Training program is designed for girls who are interested in developing leadership skills and preparing for future roles as counselors and staff members.
