Our History
The Ragsdale family has a long history in the funeral industry, dating back to the late 1800s in what is now Oklahoma. The Ragsdale Undertaking Company was established in 1889, and over the years, the family expanded their business to Arizona and eventually to San Diego, where they opened Anderson-Ragsdale Mortuary in 1955. Today, we are proud to be a family-owned institution, led by 4th Generation Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer, Hartwell W. "Skipper" Ragsdale, III.
