Our team, led by Peggy Roberts McMahon, has over forty years of experience in architecture, interior design, and construction. With a deep understanding of materials and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, we strive to create spaces that are both functional and beautiful. We understand the importance of building long-term relationships with our clients and sub-contractors, based on service, respect, and quality workmanship.

Our philosophy is centered around providing personalized and dynamic service to our clients. We believe in tackling projects on a case-by-case basis, exploring several options to arrive at the final design through the process of elimination and evolution. Our experience in design and on-site construction management allows us to formulate buildable designs that are rationally conceived and appropriate to the site, end-use, and budget.

We offer full-service architecture and interior design, ranging from initial site analysis and planning to project management, purchasing, and installation. Our commitment to quality and attention to detail ensures that our clients receive high-quality services that meet their needs and exceed their expectations.

Meet Our Team

Our team is led by Peggy Roberts McMahon, a Miami native with over forty years of experience in architecture, interior design, and construction. She spent her childhood learning the nuts and bolts of general contracting from her father, Lyle Roberts, who was the leader in custom residential and commercial construction in South Florida for over 45 years.

Peggy graduated from the University of Miami with a BA in Fine Arts and applied her design training and construction background as a design assistant at Richard Plumer Interior Design. She then joined Spillis Candela & Partners and became a project manager of the James L. Knight Center among other projects. In 1983, she founded The Design Team, Inc.

In 1996, her passion for architecture led her back to the classroom. She graduated at the top of her class with a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Miami. Her awards include the AIA's Henry Adams Certificate of Merit for general excellence in Architecture and First Place in the CSI Specifications Competition. She has interned with Arquitectonica as a senior designer of the Golden Moon Casino, Philadelphia, Ms., and project manager of its Preview Center. She has also interned with Hochstim Krantz Architects on renovations of residential and commercial buildings in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove.
