Learn, Grow, and Thrive in a Spanish Immersion Environment
Our Story
Escuelita del Alma, meaning "Little School of the Soul, " was founded by Dina Flores in 2000 as a childcare center for employees of Las Manitas, the legendary Congress Avenue cafe. With a rich history, the school has grown to become a premier Spanish-immersion preschool program, offering a unique and nurturing environment for children from infancy to school age. Our diverse community of families hails from a wide range of ethnic, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds.
Programs
At Escuelita del Alma, our programs are designed to promote language development, social-emotional learning, and academic growth. Our full-time and part-time care programs cater to preschool students, featuring organic and nutritious lunches and snacks prepared on-site. With a flexible schedule and competitive tuition rates, we offer various program options, including 2-day, 3-day, 4-day, and 5-day programs from 7:00 am to 5:45 pm, Monday through Friday.
Our daily routine is carefully structured to balance active group activities, quiet time, singing and dancing traditional Latin American songs, and learning basic kindergarten readiness skills. Our expert teachers guide children as they explore and learn through play, promoting cognitive development and language acquisition.
Strengths and Benefits
Our Spanish-immersion program has been proven to enhance children's communication skills, improve academic performance, and boost cognitive abilities. With a long waiting list, we proudly offer a virtual tour for prospective families to experience the warmth and atmosphere of our campus. Our dedicated staff, many of whom have been with us for over a decade, strive to create a sense of community among families and children alike.
