Who We Are
At the Marina Counseling Center, we are a non-profit, community-based counseling center and training institute that has been providing professional, skilled psychotherapy services to the San Francisco community since 1982. Our mission is to provide high-quality, heart-centered, affordable, and accessible psychotherapy to our diverse community. We are committed to creating a relational and inclusive environment that welcomes people of all ages, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identifications.
Our Approach
We take a holistic approach to therapy, acknowledging that every individual is unique and complex. Our skilled counselors are trained to address a wide range of issues, including relationship and intimacy issues, personal and spiritual growth, LGBTQ+ concerns, gender identity, grief and loss, addiction, depression, eating disorders, low self-esteem, anxiety, life transitions, emotional stress, trauma, and abuse. Our counselors work with individuals, couples, and families to create a safe and supportive space for exploration and growth.

Internship and Practicum Program
We are committed to training the next generation of mental health professionals. Our internship and practicum program provides a supportive and inclusive environment for students to gain hands-on experience and supervision from experienced therapists. We accept applications on a rolling basis and provide a range of opportunities for students to build their skills and confidence.

Affordable Pricing
