At Stellina Pizzeria, we are passionate about serving up authentic Italian cuisine with a modern twist. Our story began with two longtime friends, Antonio Matarazzo and Chef Matteo Venini, who combined their love of Italian cuisine and their entrepreneurial spirits to create a unique dining experience.
Our Story
Growing up in Italy, Antonio and Matteo were surrounded by the sights, sounds, and aromas of Italian cuisine. They were inspired by the family-operated food carts and corner markets that dotted the city streets, where fresh bread, seafood, basil, and cured meats filled the air. They wanted to bring a taste of that authentic Italian experience to Washington, D.C.
Our Menu
Our menu is designed to celebrate the humble, yet robust street food culture of the southern Italian coast. We offer a selection of fried seafood and veggies served in paper cones called cuoppo; light, flavorful Neo-Neapolitan pizzas with a distinctly crispy crust; house-made pastas; and creative panini served on our signature pizza dough. Our menu is simple, spirited, and aimed at pleasing the palate.
