Our History

Price-Storm Heating & Cooling is proud to be a continuation of a long tradition of quality heating and cooling service in the Onawa area. Our roots stretch back to 1965 with the founding of Thelander Plumbing and Heating by Earl Thelander. Earl's son, Byron, joined the family business after graduating from WITCC, eventually taking over the HVAC side when his father retired in 1993. Byron, a dedicated professional, ran Thelander Heating and Cooling until 2017 when he decided to retire and pass the torch to his employee, Jeff Storm.

Meanwhile, Corey Price established his own successful HVAC business, Corey's Air Conditioning & Heating, in 2001. Serving Mapleton and surrounding communities, Corey possessed a Master's license in HVAC and built a reputation for providing reliable and expert service. In 2022, Jeff Storm and Corey Price decided to merge their businesses, bringing together years of experience and a shared commitment to customer satisfaction. This exciting new chapter led to the creation of Price-Storm Heating & Cooling, as they embark on a journey to provide an even broader range of services and technical expertise to their customers.

Meet Our Team

At Price-Storm Heating & Cooling, we are fortunate to have a team of highly skilled and dedicated professionals. Doug Conley, a Journeyman technician with over 15 years of experience, joined Thelander Heating & Cooling in 2017. Alex Tank, a talented apprentice who has been with the company since 2019, is eager to obtain his Journeyman license and contributes with enthusiasm to our team. Thadeous (Tad) Smith, a promising new member of our team, started in 2022 and is preparing to begin his apprenticeship, learning the trade from our experienced technicians.
