At Family & Childcare Resources of N.E.W., our mission is to support healthy child development by providing high-quality education, support, and programs to families and early childhood professionals. We believe that every child deserves a happy, healthy, and safe start in life. To make this vision a reality, we provide valuable resources and support to those who care for children, including parents, caregivers, and childcare providers.

Our Services

We offer two nationally accredited programs for parents and caregivers: Parents as Teachers (PAT) and Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). Both programs are free to participants and aim to promote healthy child development and strong parent-child relationships. PAT is an evidence-based early childhood model that provides in-home services to support pregnant women and families with children from birth to kindergarten. Triple P is a comprehensive parenting and family support system designed to prevent and treat behavioral and emotional problems in children. We offer this program in various formats, including group sessions, workshops, and one-on-one consultations. We also have Spanish-speaking staff available to support Hispanic families.

In addition to our programs for parents, we support licensed and certified childcare providers through training and on-site consultations. We also provide pre-licensing assistance for those who want to establish their own childcare program. Our technical consultants serve families in Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Oconto, Shawano, Marinette, and Menominee Counties and the Oneida, Menominee, and Stockbridge-Munsee Nation.

Our Events

We host various events throughout the year, including our flagship event, Fly a Kite Fest. This free, family-friendly festival is designed to promote positive child-adult interactions in a healthy outdoor environment. We also host Community Resource/Diaper Events, additional fundraisers, parenting classes, childcare provider trainings, and other events to support families and childcare providers.
