Since 1961, SMACNA-Cleveland (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association) and SMART (Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation) Local Union # 33 have been partnering to provide the most qualified, trained, educated, and certified Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Contractors and Sheet Metal Workers in the construction industry.
Our team is comprised of professionals who have completed an intense and exhaustive five-year apprenticeship program in a state-of-the-art training facility. This training center is funded solely through the contributions of SMACNA-Cleveland and SMART Local 33. Each graduate of this program completes 1,000 hours of classroom instruction and 9,000 hours of practical on-the-job training. Following graduation, each Journeyman is involved in ongoing programs for continuing education and to obtain additional HVAC certifications. Finally, every Sheet Metal Worker is a passing participant of a certified Drug Free Testing Program and carries OSHA safety certifications to ensure safety on and off the job site.
