CKS Technologies, LLC is a Woman-Owned Small Business located in the heart of Huntsville, AL. Established in 2011 by our CEO, Cherry Sisk, PE, we are committed to providing highly focused, professional engineering services to the government and industry. We take pride in our multiple licensed Professional Engineers on staff, and our membership in several contract teams such as D3I, SeaPort-e, TESTLA, and AMCOM EXPRESS.

What We Do

Our staff provides Subject Matter Expertise in structural and thermal analyses, mechanical and electrical design, and systems engineering. We have substantial experience working with a variety of customers, including the US Army, US Navy, NASA, and industry. Our expertise includes ensuring the safety, serviceability, and functionality of numerous missile and space flight systems and associated ground support equipment, rotary and fixed-wing aircraft, and specialized naval vessels.

How We Do It

At CKS Technologies, we employ classical analytical methods utilizing modern tool sets such as FEMAP, NX/NASTRAN, MATHCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, Thermal Desktop, PATRAN, and SINDA. Our small company size allows us to quickly adapt solutions to our clients' needs efficiently. Structural Analysis

Our expertise in structural analysis allows us to solve problems utilizing classical analytical methods and finite element analysis. We have extensive experience using software tools such as FEMAP, NASTRAN, MATHCAD, and PATRAN. Our experience includes stress, dynamics, fatigue, fracture, and composites analysis. We own all the necessary software licenses to perform structural analysis.

Thermal Analysis

We have extensive experience performing thermal and thermal stress analysis utilizing tools such as Thermal Desktop, SINDA/G, SINDA/FLUINT, TRASYS, and P3/THERMAL. Our experience includes electronics heat dissipation, avionics sizing, touch temperature studies, thermal expansion, dissimilar material tolerance studies, thermal stress, thermal radiation analysis, convective heat transfer, orbital thermal analyses, and vacuum systems.

Mechanical/Electrical Design

Our capabilities include mechanical and electrical design, from requirements research and establishment through conceptualization, feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design (including CAD), optimization and production planning. Our software expertise includes Creo, SolidWorks, SolidEdge, and Altium Designer.

Systems Engineering

Our systems engineering expertise includes test and evaluation, independent verification and validation, requirements management, project management, safety assessments, and failure review and analysis. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide expert systems engineering solutions to complex problems.
