At Slow Poke Acupuncture, our mission is to provide accessible, trauma-informed care to everyone in our community. We believe that everyone deserves to have healthcare that fits their unique needs and lifestyle. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, we are dedicated to bringing integrated healthcare and health education into our community through partnerships with local organizations.

Our Services

We offer a range of services, including acupuncture, therapy, and community programs. Our experienced and licensed acupuncturists and therapists are committed to providing truly holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our clients. Our acupuncture services can help with a variety of conditions, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, pain, injury, digestive issues, skin conditions, insomnia, and more. Our therapists offer individual, couples, and family therapy services, as well as online therapy sessions.

Community Programs

Our community programs are designed to bring acupuncture and health education directly to the communities that need it most. Our community acupuncture clinic pop-ups provide group acupuncture sessions in a relaxed and supportive environment. We partner with local organizations to bring our services to shelters, drop-in centers, and other community locations. Our programs are designed to increase engagement with services and service providers, provide direct pain relief, and promote overall well-being.

Our Team

Our team of licensed acupuncturists and therapists are dedicated to providing truly holistic care. Tara Spalty, LCSW, LAc, is a dual-licensed provider with a focus on integrative treatment for chronic pain, addiction, trauma, and reproductive health. David has been a licensed acupuncturist since 2008 and is a founder of Circle Community Acupuncture. Our team is committed to providing accessible, trauma-informed care to everyone in our community.

Why Slow?

We believe that health and wellness practices that take time can be the most rewarding and sustainable. Every person has their own timeline and process of healing. We believe that it's okay to be where you are, and that change can be folded into your life in a way that is realistic and respects your process.
