At Catalyst, we believe in the transformative power of holistic healthcare. Our mission is to empower individuals to take control of their well-being by providing personalized, comprehensive care that addresses the intricate connections between body, mind, and spirit.

Our story began with the vision of Sonya Wool, L.Ac., a licensed acupuncturist and co-founder of Catalyst. Sonya grew up in a family of physicians, and her experiences of witnessing health and healing began in childhood. She discovered the healing potential of acupuncture and Chinese herbs after experiencing the physical effects of grief on her own health. This revelation, combined with her lifelong passion for medicine, led Sonya to pursue a career in acupuncture.

At Catalyst, we understand that everyone's journey to wellness is unique. We strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for each individual to reconnect with their body and mind. Our goal is to help patients find the root cause of their symptoms and provide them with the tools they need to heal and thrive.

Our Services

At Catalyst, we offer a range of services designed to promote holistic wellness and balance. Our services include:

  • Acupuncture: We use a combination of traditional acupuncture techniques, including manual manipulation of the body's meridians, to stimulate the body's natural healing processes.
  • Fire Cupping: This ancient practice utilizes suction cups to create a gentle, soothing effect on the body, promoting relaxation and relieving tension.
  • Herbal Medicine: We use natural herbs and botanicals to create customized blends that address our patients' specific health needs.
  • CranioSacral Therapy: This gentle, non-invasive technique is designed to promote balance and relaxation in the body.
  • Massage Eastern Medicine: Our licensed massage therapists use a combination of Eastern techniques, such as tuina and tui na, to promote relaxation and ease muscle tension.
  • Nutritional Therapy: Our certified nutritionist works closely with patients to develop personalized dietary plans that support their health goals.

What to Expect

During your first appointment, you will spend 30-45 minutes discussing your health history, lifestyle, and treatment goals with your practitioner. This comprehensive consultation will help your practitioner develop a dynamic view of your health.

Treatment sessions typically last between 50-90 minutes, depending on the treatment modality. We use a combination of acupuncture points, herbal medicine, cupping, and other modalities to create a customized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs.

Insurance and Billing

As of January 2020, we are in-network providers with Blue Cross of Idaho. If you have Blue Cross insurance, you only need to pay your copay or co-insurance (if applicable), and we will handle the rest.

Outside of insurance, we offer a 20% discount for cash-pay patients. We accept major credit cards and offer flexible payment plans.
