Research & Initiatives

AFB is dedicated to conducting high-quality research related to blindness and low vision and sharing our findings broadly. Our recent endeavors include the Barriers to Digital Inclusion Survey, which provides valuable insights into the challenges faced by individuals with visual impairments in accessing digital platforms, and the introduction of the AFB Talent Lab, an innovative education experience created to bridge the accessibility skills gap.

In response to the challenges faced by job seekers with visual impairments in entering the workforce, AFB has prepared an HR toolkit to equip hiring managers and HR professionals with the necessary resources and knowledge to effectively support and hire these individuals.
