The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Idaho (IIABI), also known as Big "I", is one of the oldest insurance agents' trade associations in the state. Since its inception in 1924, the organization has grown to become the largest agents' trade association in Idaho, with over 800 agents, brokers, and their employees as members. This includes both Regular Membership and Associate Membership, which comprises major insurance companies, general agencies, and suppliers doing business in Idaho.

The mission of IIABI is to encourage and promote understanding and cooperation among Idaho insurance agents, insurance companies, and consumers. This is achieved through various activities and services offered to its members. The organization is led by an elected Board of Directors and active Committees, ensuring that its purposes are upheld.

IIABI is also part of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA), which represents a network of over 300,000 agents and their employees across all fifty states. The national association provides a range of products and services to help member agencies compete in today's insurance market, while also maintaining an office on Capitol Hill for advocacy on insurance issues.
