About the Photographer

I'm Laurel, the woman behind Laurel Z Photography. I am a proud wife and mother, and my family is my biggest inspiration. I grew up in the Bay Area and attended UC Berkeley. I never pursued photography in college, but years later, my passion for it was reignited when my husband brought home a new DSLR camera. It was then that I realized what I was truly meant to do in life - create memories for people.

Family Photography

At Laurel Z Photography, we understand that every family has a different dynamic, and we strive to capture the beauty in all its glory and chaos. Our family sessions are very unposed, and our goal is to tell a story from the time you arrive till the end of the session. There is lots of love, snuggles, and fun in these sessions. We want to capture the love between you and your family and create memories that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Maternity Photography

Maternity is a special time in a woman's life, and we believe in capturing the love and excitement of this moment. We want to capture the glow on a mama's face when she holds her belly, the look from her mate, and the kiss from her children. Maternity sessions are some of our favorites, and we strive to capture the raw and real feelings that come with this incredible time.

Newborn Photography

Newborn sessions are some of the most precious moments for us to capture. Whether you are a first-time parent or a pro, each session brings something special. Our studio is set up for you to arrive and relax, and we treat every baby as our own with love and patience. We have all the beautiful props and textiles that are needed to create a gorgeous gallery full of all the colors that you love. All we need from you is a sweet, sleepy babe!
