Our Story

Our story began when two experienced printers, Steve Carlson and Tim Mallatt, combined their skills and knowledge to start Performance Press in downtown Brandon, South Dakota. Steve, with his 47 years of experience in the printing industry, and Tim, with his 38 years of experience, have built a business that is dedicated to quality, customer service, and innovative design. Over the years, they've assembled a talented team of graphic designers, print specialists, and customer service representatives who share their passion for printing and commitment to excellence.

Our Team

At Performance Press, we're proud of our talented and dedicated team. Our co-owners, Steve Carlson and Tim Mallatt, bring decades of experience and expertise to every project. Angie Flanigan, our copy and print specialist, has been with us for almost 12 years and is known for her attention to detail and exceptional customer service. Iesley Stone, our graphic designer, graduated from Southeast Tech in 2015 and has been with us for four years, bringing her skills in small format, large format, and marketing to every project.
