Our History

STICK A PIG IN IT was founded in 2000 by James Burnett, a passionate chef and fabricator of roasters and grills. Over the years, our business has grown from a simple hobby to a thriving enterprise that serves all of Southeast Michigan. Our catering services have been featured on Fox 2 Detroit News, and we have hosted pig roasts for TV programs like American Muscle and for Seattle Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman.

Catering Services

We offer a variety of catering options for any event, including wedding receptions, business parties, reunions, family gatherings, religious events, retirements, backyard barbecues, banquets, graduations, and large parties. Our all-natural, slow-roasted whole pig is a crowd-pleaser that adds an extra touch to any event. We also offer a selection of sides and drinks to complement our BBQ.

Future Events

Every year, we host a large catered party at Ford Lake for the Union of Automotive Workers and retirees in Michigan. In October of 2015, we donated a pig roast, chicken, sausages, baked beans, and coleslaw to the Brandon ICU Mott Children's Hospital. They were used at a party held at the Big House in Ann Arbor, which was attended by patient's families, nursing staff, and faculty.

Roaster Rentals and Custom Grills

We offer three-day rentals of our pig roast barrel grill for DIY enthusiasts. The rental costs just $225 with a $75.00 down-payment required in advance. We also build custom roasters and grills to cater to the size of your party and the number of guests in attendance. Contact us for a quote on a stationary grill or a pig roaster with a trailer.
