Our Approach

Our underlying strategy is built on a foundation of rigorous analysis and extensive knowledge of the real estate securities market. We employ a disciplined approach to identify undervalued opportunities and uncover hidden gems in the real estate sector. Our team is committed to delivering long-term value to our clients through a well-balanced portfolio of real estate securities.

REITs

Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) were created to provide small investors with a way to participate in the real estate market. Congress passed tax legislation in 1960 allowing the creation of REITs, which are corporations or business trusts that invest in real estate, mortgages, or real estate-related securities. There are currently over 200 REITs traded publicly on major stock exchanges. To qualify as a REIT, a corporation or trust must pass certain tests, including distributing at least 90% of its taxable income to shareholders and maintaining a certain level of real estate holdings. By mimicking the characteristics of direct property ownership, REITs offer investors a convenient and liquid way to invest in real estate.

As a seasoned investment advisory firm, Bricks & Mortar Capital offers unparalleled expertise in the real estate securities market.
