Iowa Acupuncture Clinic

The Iowa Acupuncture Clinic, established in 1997, is a holistic, traditional Chinese medical clinic specializing in acupuncture, herbal medicine, lifestyle counseling, and holistic health education. Our mission is to aid our patients in achieving a higher level of health and well-being, focusing on the individual person and addressing their unique needs. We believe in the holistic nature of life and health and strive to educate our patients in the ancient holistic style of oriental medicine.

The clinic is owned and operated by Elizabeth Terrell and William Terrell, who bring over two decades of experience in the field. Both are 25th-year licensed acupuncturists holding a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from the Southwest Acupuncture College. They are diplomats of NCCAOM and have pursued ongoing education in clean needle technique, as required by the NCCAOM. Elizabeth and William met during their time at Southwest Acupuncture College and have been practicing acupuncture together since 1996-1997. Their two children, Jazmin and Bodhi, share their parents' passion for health, wellness, and organic living.

Our clinic takes pride in being the longest-standing licensed acupuncture clinic in the state of Iowa, having opened in 1997. Elizabeth and William are licensed acupuncturists and have met all the necessary requirements, including completing a three-year post-secondary training program or acupuncture college program accredited by the National Accreditation Commission for Schools and Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), maintaining active status as diplomats of the NCCAOM, and successfully completing a course in Clean Needle Technique approved by the NCCAOM. Moreover, they complete 60 hours of Continuing Education every four years.
