Hair Productions

Hair Productions is a full-service salon that has been proudly serving the Topeka area and its surroundings since 1973. With close to 50 years of experience, we have established ourselves as a community staple, dedicated to providing exceptional service and value to our clients. Our current owner, Jeanie Custer, has been with the salon since its opening and has helped it grow into the successful business it is today. We are proud of our heritage and are committed to serving this community we love for many more years to come.

Our Commitment to Service

At Hair Productions, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service and value to all of our clients. Our team of licensed specialists takes great pride in what they do, and it is reflected in the loyalty of our clients. We promise individual attention, and we strive to deliver the best possible experience to each and every one of our clients.

We kindly request that you arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment. We schedule appointments according to our specialists' availability and specialty. We require a $50 non-refundable deposit for all new chemical clients, which will go towards your service total unless you do not show up for your appointment. If you are running late, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate you. However, please note that arriving late will likely limit the time allocated for your service, which will lessen its effectiveness and your enjoyment. As a courtesy to all clients, our treatments are completed as scheduled.

Cancellations of all salon and spa services require a 24-hour notice or may be charged a 50% no-show fee. Gratuities are not included in the price of services and are greatly appreciated.

Meet Our Team

Our team is the heart and soul of Hair Productions. With decades of experience in the beauty industry, our stylists are passionate about what they do and are committed to delivering exceptional results to our clients.

*Jeanie Custer, Owner*

Jeanie has been a cosmetologist for over 50 years and has owned Hair Productions for over 35 years. She comes from a family of stylists, with her parents and grandparents owning and operating Stewart's Beauty Academy. Her oldest brother was an educator at the school, and her other brother was a cosmetologist who opened Hair Productions in 1973. With her wealth of experience and knowledge, Jeanie is our trusty leader, although she is not currently taking clients.

*Sam, Stylist and Owner*

Sam has been a cosmetologist since 2013 and joined Hair Productions in 2015. She specializes in a variety of services, including hair, skin, and nail care. She has certification in Redken's Specialist Program, Surface Awaken and Curls line, and three different types of extensions. Sam's next goal is to buy the salon, and she is dedicated to delivering exceptional results to each and every one of her clients.

*Judy Hermann, Stylist*

Judy has been a cosmetologist for 45 years and joined Hair Productions back in 2003. She comes from an educator's background and has co-owned a salon and managed another. Judy specializes in hair and skin care and is committed to delivering exceptional results to her clients.

*Nicole Henery, Stylist*

Nicole joined our crew in 2018, coming from a haircutting background. She wanted to expand her portfolio into haircolor, blonding, and even nail care. Now, she has received certification in thinning hair, curl techniques, and even Redken's Specialist Program. Nicole is committed to learning new techniques and perfecting her craft.

*Madison Engel, Stylist*

Madison is our newest crew member, but we feel like she's always been here. Madison loves working with hair, especially long hair, and is always eager to learn new techniques and perfect her craft. She is currently awaiting a certification course so she can learn hair extensions.
