Huck Equine Clinic has been serving the horses of Southeast Missouri since 1973. Founded by Linus F. Huck DVM, the practice has grown to become a trusted name in equine healthcare. Our Father-Daughter veterinary duo, Dr. Linus F. Huck and Dr. Martha Ann Huck-Miller, are passionate about horses and take care of each patient as if it were their own.

About Dr. Linus F. Huck

Dr. Linus F. Huck is the founder of Huck Equine Clinic. He started the practice in 1973, which initially included a wide range of large animals. Over time, the clinic moved its focus solely to equine care. Dr. Huck is known for his dedication to providing quality veterinary care and was awarded the Horseman of the Year from the Cape Cowboy Church in 2018.

About Dr. Martha Ann Huck-Miller

Dr. Martha Ann Huck- Miller grew up in this practice and has been an equine enthusiast since childhood. She inherited her love for horses from her father and began her riding career on a miniature Sicilian donkey. She later moved on to riding a pony, winning several Versatility Championships. Her experiences with horses provided her with the essential knowledge a veterinarian must have - what is normal. Dr. Huck-Miller completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Missouri in 2008 and completed an internship at Littleton Equine Medical Center, one of the most prestigious equine clinics in the world.

A veterinarian is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and on holidays for emergency care. We are dedicated to providing the care your horse needs, when they need it most.

We offer a variety of curative care services, including digital radiology, ultrasounds, and laboratory services. Our goal is to get to the root of the problem and create a personalized treatment plan for your horse.

Wellness Exams

At Huck Equine Clinic, we believe that prevention is the best medicine. We recommend regular wellness exams for all our patients to detect and prevent any potential issues before they become a problem.

Chiropractic Work

Dr. Martha Huck- Miller is a certified Veterinary Chiropractic Associate and offers chiropractic services for both performance and leisure horses. These services include adjustments, laser therapy, and acupuncture.

Dental Procedures

Regular dental care is essential for the overall health of your horse. Our team of veterinarians are certified in dental procedures and can provide routine and advanced dental care for your horse.

Vaccinations

We offer individual packaged/dosed vaccinations, tailored to your horse's specific needs and lifestyle.

Coggins Testing

Coggins testing is required for the interstate and international transportation of horses. We offer digital Coggins tests and health certificates for your convenience.
