Owens-Thomas Funeral Home is a family-owned business with a rich history of service in the industry, having been established for over sixty-five years. Our unique and personalized approach has allowed us to offer efficient, compassionate, and affordable services to the families we have had the privilege of serving. Our success can be attributed to the confidence and trust that our clientele has placed in us, as we strive to serve each family as our own. This commitment to excellence has made us a leader in an increasingly competitive industry.

The funeral home was originally established as Owens Funeral Home and was later purchased by Rev. Ezekiel and Bertha Thomas from the estate of Cleveland Owens in 1972. The Thomas family enhanced the goodwill that the Owens Funeral Home had established and renamed it to Owens-Thomas Funeral Home. In 1994, Rev. Ezekiel Thomas, Sr. passed away, leaving the business to his five children, who have continued to operate the funeral home and maintain its dedication to excellence in the funeral industry.

To better serve our families, chapels were opened in Ville Platte, LA and Crowley, LA in 1999 and 2001, respectively. In December 2008, Owens-Thomas-Funeral Home relocated its main location from its original establishment to 437 Moosa Boulevard in Eunice, LA. This modern facility offers more square footage, accessible parking, and many other amenities for the convenience of the families we humbly serve.

Staff members of Owens-Thomas Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.

• Chiquita M. Thomas, Managing Funeral Director, is a graduate of Southern University A & M College where she earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. She has managed the company since 1995.
• Ezekiel J. H. Thomas, Funeral Director & Embalmer, is committed to providing the highest level of service to each family.
• Ezekiel Thomas, Jr., Funeral Director, brings a wealth of experience to the team and is dedicated to serving each family with compassion and respect.
• Ezekiel J. E. Thomas, Funeral Director, is a valued member of the team and is committed to upholding the highest standards of service.
• Bertha Simmons-Thomas, Funeral Director, is the mother of the Thomas siblings and offers her many years of wisdom and knowledge in the funeral industry.
• Chiquania Thomas-Gallow, General Partner, offers part-time service to the company mostly in the administrative department.
• Devenskie Arvie, Support Staff, is committed to providing compassionate and professional service to each family.
• Donald Solomon, Sr., Support Staff, brings a wealth of experience to the team and is dedicated to serving each family with respect.
