Founded by Dr. Schafhauser in 1979, Capitol Dental Center has been dedicated to upholding the highest standards of dental care while ensuring a comfortable and stress-free experience for all patients.

Our state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located in the heart of downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, and offers validated parking for our patients' convenience. Our dental practice is fully ADA accessible, making it easy for everyone to receive the dental care they need. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff create a welcoming atmosphere the moment you step into our office.

Our Process

From the moment you make an appointment to the completion of your treatment, we make the process easy, convenient, and stress-free. Our process includes four easy steps:

1. Make Appointment: Call us to schedule an appointment that fits your needs and availability.

2. Prepare for Your Appointment: Click the button above to print and fill out a copy of patient forms to bring to your first appointment.

3. Meet the Dentist: Please plan for your initial visit to last 90 minutes. This will enable us to take any necessary x-rays, do a thorough exam of your gum tissue, perform a teeth cleaning if possible, and meet with one of our Doctors to discuss your oral health going forward.

4. Receive Treatment: Our team at Capitol Dental Center will work diligently to ensure you receive the proper care for your specific needs.

Our office hours are Tues - Thurs: 7.00 A.M - 5.00 P.M, Fri: 7.00 A.M - 12.30 P.M. If you have a dental emergency, call us immediately, and we will make every effort to see you as soon as possible.

Dr. Schafhauser

Dr. Michael Schafhauser was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and raised in Roseville, Minnesota. He attended the University of Minnesota, where he earned his B.A. in Psychology in 1975. He continued his education and earned his D.D.S. from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1979. Dr. Schafhauser has been practicing dentistry in the heart of St. Paul ever since, building a reputation as a trusted and experienced dentist.

Dr. Neu

Dr. Natalie Neu is a Marquette University graduate with over 15 years of experience. She prides herself in providing a calming and stress-free dental experience for her patients. Dr. Neu meets her patients where they are and then partners with them to meet their oral health goals. In her free time, Dr. Neu enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog, Lucy, and trying new and interesting cuisine.
