Helping Nevada policyholders when they need it the most.

The Nevada Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association is a statutory entity created in 1973 to protect the policyholders and beneficiaries of policies issued by an insolvent insurance company. Established by the Nevada legislature, our primary goal is to provide protection to residents of the state who have policies with an insurer that has gone out of business or has been ordered to be liquidated by a court.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure that policyholders and their beneficiaries continue to receive the coverage and benefits to which they are entitled, even in the event of an insurer's insolvency. We strive to provide timely and accurate information to policyholders, navigate the complex process of policy coverage and payment, and work diligently to resolve claims in a fair and efficient manner.

Services

As a guaranty association, we provide a range of services to policyholders and beneficiaries, including:

  • Continuation of policy coverage and benefits, subject to certain limitations and exclusions
  • Processing of claims and payment of benefits to policyholders and beneficiaries
  • Facilitating communication and resolution of issues related to policy coverage and claims payment
  • Providing information and resources to policyholders and beneficiaries to help them understand their rights and options
  • Working with insurers and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition of policies and claims in the event of an insurer's insolvency

How We Operate

We operate by working closely with courts, insurers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the liquidation of an insolvent insurer's assets and liabilities. We also work with policyholders and beneficiaries to ensure that they receive the benefits and coverage they are entitled to, and to address any questions or concerns they may have.
