Bistro 821, a dining establishment with a rich history of 27 years, is located in the heart of Naples on the vibrant and cosmopolitan Fifth Avenue South. We are the longest-running restaurant in this bustling district, and we take pride in our sophisticated urban chic decor and our commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Our distinguished Executive Chef, Jess S. Housman, has been at the helm of our kitchen since 1994. With his unique style, Chef Jess creates a diverse array of innovative entrees that fuse Asian, European, and American flavors. We source the finest ingredients available from locally owned and operated vendors, ensuring that our menu is always fresh and of the highest quality.
At Bistro 821, we are famous for our miso-sake marinated Chilean sea bass, which was first introduced as a special in 1997 and has been a staple on our menu ever since. Our prawns appetizer, featuring grilled prawns topped with our house-made Thai chili sauce and served on a crispy sushi rice cake, is another crowd favorite. Our menu also includes a variety of fresh seafood, choice steaks, house-made risottos, delectable salads, award-winning desserts, and more.
Chef Jess S. Housman
Chef Jess began his culinary journey on Cape Cod in the mid-1980s. He pursued his passion for cooking at Boston University's Chef Program, where he had the privilege of working with renowned chefs such as Jacques Pepin, Julia Child, Todd English, and Marcella Hazan. After successfully completing the program, he gained experience working as a sous chef at Spinazzola's Restaurant, The Chanterelle, and La Alouette.
In the early 1990s, Chef Jess moved to Naples and joined the team at Michael's Cafe as sous chef. He then became the opening chef at Bistro 821 before helping to open Bistro 41 in Ft. Myers and Zoe's in Naples. Chef Jess's culinary expertise and creativity have allowed us to create an incredible menu that continues to impress and delight our guests.
Private Dining and Special Events
Bistro 821's private dining room can accommodate up to 32 guests, making it an ideal location for special events, private parties, and business meetings. With stunning views of Fifth Avenue South, our private dining room is the only second-floor option available in the area. We offer a selection of private dining menus and are happy to work with you to create a tailored menu that meets your specific needs.
Parties of 8 or more guests in the private dining room are required to provide a credit card to hold the reservation. A guaranteed number of attendees must be provided within 72 hours of the event for parties that use a set menu.
