TBI Construction Company is an Alaska corporation headquartered in Palmer, Alaska. We are a certified HubZone small business, licensed by the State of Alaska as a General Contractor with Residential Endorsement. Our company has experience in Military-Army Corps of Engineers projects, Government IDIQ & MATOC Contracting, Class A Tenant Improvements, Commercial and Residential remodels, Remote Access and difficult logistics construction as well as Design/Build Construction.

Since our founding in 1999, we have completed projects valued at over $130 million in gross volume, most of which is in the great State of Alaska. Our successful growth and solid record of efficient and cost-effective project completion are due, in large part, to our experienced site and project management, with an emphasis on quality control and safety. Our management team consists of construction industry veterans who bring decades of experience to their jobs.

Our History and Legacy

Tom Bergman founded TBI in 1999, bringing with him twenty years of experience managing construction projects in Alaska with a combined dollar volume in excess of $300 million. Tom began in the field as a carpenter, and worked his way up to become Vice President of a company performing $30 million to $40 million of work annually in rural Alaskan communities. As Project Manager, and then Vice President of Operations with Osborne Construction Company, he spent much of his time on-site, managing construction activities of company personnel and subcontractors, overseeing purchasing, supervising logistical operations, establishing camps for work crews, managing procurement operations and working directly with project owners and designers.

Tom's experience and work ethic carried over into the culture of TBI Construction. Although Tom has since passed away, his presence is still felt daily. The business carries on Tom's legacy of working on a wide variety of projects throughout the state on both commercial and residential ventures.

Current Leadership

Jason Bergman, President of the company, has 25 years of commercial construction experience in Alaska, including remote construction and logistical management. As President, he is responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
