Welcome to A&G Restaurant, your home away from home in downtown Maryville, Missouri. A family-owned establishment since 1975, we take pride in our rich history and the legacy that our founder, George Groumoutis, has left behind. George, a Greek immigrant, had a simple yet profound mission: to create an unforgettable dining experience for our patrons. This mission has been our guiding principle for over 40 years, and we continue to strive for excellence in every aspect of our service.

Our journey began with George and his brother, Tony, who opened the first A&G Restaurant in Creston, Iowa in 1973. The brothers brought with them a taste of Greece, serving classic Greek dishes that quickly became favorites among the locals. Two years later, George decided to pave his own path and opened the Maryville location, which has since become a staple in the community.

At A&G Restaurant, we believe that dining is not just about the food; it's about the experience. That's why we offer an array of exquisite meals served in a robust and cheerful environment. Our menu features hand-cut steaks, authentic Greek flavors, homemade dressings, and enough variety to meet the needs of any appetite. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty steak, a flavorful pasta dish, or a delicious slice of pizza, we have something for everyone.

Our Services

We understand that every occasion is special, and that's why we offer a range of services to make your dining experience unforgettable. Our Banquet Rooms can accommodate groups from 10-100, making us the perfect venue for birthdays, meetings, rehearsal dinners, and more. We have two beautiful banquet rooms to choose from: the Upstairs Banquet Room, which is positioned on the second floor of our restaurant and offers all the amenities of restaurant dining with the privacy of a catered event, and the Main Floor Banquet Room, located on the ground level of our restaurant and offering private dining with the option to reserve half of the space for roughly 50 guests or the entire room for up to 100 people.

In addition to our banquet services, we also offer Happy Hour specials daily, Ladies' Night every Thursday, and Greek Night every Friday. Our large selection of wines, spirits, and liquors is sure to make you thirsty, and our full bar menu ensures that you'll always find something to pair perfectly with your meal.
