Welcome to Lamb's Gate Christian School, a ministry of Journey Church, where we strive to demonstrate God's love in word and deed to all families in our city. Our mission is to provide a high-quality education in a positive, loving Christian environment that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of children.

Our History

Lamb's Gate Christian School was established in 1974 by Marie Williams, who had a vision to create a preschool program that would serve children of all backgrounds and abilities. With the support of First Evangelical Free Church (now Journey Church), Marie's vision became a reality, and Lamb's Gate was born. Over the years, our ministry has expanded to include a Lunch Buddies program, Early Childhood Development Program, and inclusion models that allow children with and without special needs to learn together.

Our Programs

At Lamb's Gate, we offer a range of programs designed to meet the unique needs of each child. Our programs include:

  • Early Childhood Development: This program is designed for children aged 18 months to 34 months and focuses on therapeutic inclusion and play-based learning.
  • Preschool Programs: Our preschool programs are designed for children aged 2-4 years and focus on creative thinking, problem-solving, and community outreach.
  • Kindergarten Programs: Our kindergarten programs are designed for children aged 5-6 years and focus on hands-on learning, critical thinking, and social skills.
  • Summer Program: Our summer program is designed for children aged 5-12 years and focuses on fun, educational activities, and community outreach.

What Sets Us Apart

What sets us apart from other schools is our commitment to daily worship, age-appropriate developmental learning through play, and intentional lessons. We celebrate the relationship between typically and atypically developing students and believe they can learn much from each other.
