At Silverado Counseling Services, LLC, we are dedicated to providing individuals with professional, result-driven mental healthcare services and support for the betterment of themselves and our community. Our History
Silverado Counseling was organized in 1998, and in the decades since, we have proudly helped serve thousands of clients. Our professional services have helped clients find relief from symptoms, overcome struggles, addictions, and achieve a better quality of life.
Our Services
At Silverado Counseling, we provide individualized care to meet the needs of our clients. We offer individual and family counseling, case management, peer support, skills development, and resources for individuals seeking a happier life. Our services include:
- Individual Therapy: You will meet individually with a trained professional to address your concerns. Your therapist will help you define more clearly your objectives and your desired outcomes. Issues and obstacles we help individuals address include: anxiety, depression, trauma/abuse, domestic violence, sexual abuse, mood disorders, grief and loss, stress management, relationships, and medically related conditions.
- Family Counseling: Members of your family will meet with a trained professional to address treatment issues such as: family member with Mental Health issues, coping with chronic illness, blended family or step-family issues, divorce adjustment, communication, life transitions, domestic violence, and abuse resolution.
- Couples Counseling: You and your partner will meet to address your concerns and more clearly define your objectives for your desired relationship outcome. Issues address include: communication, trust, intimacy, infidelity, parenting, domestic violence, sexual abuse, blended family, pre-marriage counseling, and relationship enchantment.
- Case Management: Case Management is a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation, and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual's and family's comprehensive health needs through communication and available resources to promote patient safety, quality of care, and cost-effective outcomes.
- Peer Support: A Certified Peer Support Specialist is an individual who uses their lived experience in recovery from mental illness and/or substance use disorder, in addition to skills learned in a formal training, to deliver services promoting recovery and resiliency.
Insurance and Payment Options
We accept various insurance plans, including Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans such as Molina Healthcare of Utah, SelectHealth, and University of Utah Health Plans. We also provide information on what to expect during your visit, including what to bring, what to expect during your session, and how to prepare for your appointment.
Therapy Experience
Reviews of Silverado's therapy services reveal a mixed bag of experiences. While some users have had excellent experiences, others have been left disappointed.
Staff and Therapists
The majority of reviewers have praised the staff and therapists at Silverado, citing them as excellent, accommodating, and understanding. Users have appreciated the therapists' ability to resolve concerns, provide a comfortable environment, and offer helpful guidance.

Concerns and Areas for Improvement
However, one reviewer expressed frustration with the response time and availability of therapists, citing concerns about their sister's suicidal tendencies. This reviewer felt that the office was understaffed and needed more personnel to address the demand.
Group Therapy
One reviewer suggested that Silverado consider offering group therapy options, which are currently not available.
