Our History
Our history is deeply rooted in the rich heritage of Columbus. The Jeffrey Mining Company, from which our complex takes its name, was once the world's largest manufacturer of mining equipment. Two sons of the company's founder, Joseph A. Jeffrey, even organized an artillery battalion during World War I and went on to serve their country. At Battery B, we're proud to honor this legacy and continue the tradition of innovation and progress.
