Your Ride Will Look Like New
Welcome to Kinderhaus, San Francisco's only German immersion preschool. At Kinderhaus, we are dedicated to cultivating your child's intellectual and social growth, while developing their language skills and cultural awareness. Our program is designed to empower children to speak confidently and discover their world in German.
Our Program
The Kinderhaus program runs for 11 months, starting each year at the end of August and ending in July, with a 4-week break in the summer. Our program is based on child-initiated activities and focuses on the German language and German-speaking cultures, while incorporating American and English stories, songs, and customs. Our curriculum is designed to support the whole child, with a focus on social-emotional development, cognitive development, and language acquisition.
Our Approach
At Kinderhaus, we view children as capable, competent, and creative, who simply need teachers to guide, encourage, and inspire them to explore their own questions. We believe in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow at their own pace. Our teachers are experienced and dedicated to providing a high-quality education to each child.
Our Teachers
Our teachers are the heart of our program. They are experienced, passionate, and dedicated to providing a high-quality education to each child. Our teachers are native German speakers, and they are committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment where children can learn and grow.

Overall Experience
The opinions on this topic are vastly different, with one reviewer giving a glowing endorsement and the other a scathing critique.
Positive Experience
The first reviewer, Hallam Gugelmann, had a very positive experience at the playground. They felt that the staff were dedicated, caring, and created a supportive and rich learning environment. Their daughter was able to make lifelong friends and develop her German skills.
Negative Experience
However, the second reviewer, Angelina, had a drastically different experience. She felt that the staff were horrible and allowed the kids to bully, push, and shove other children. She was also upset that the staff didn't intervene or teach the kids better behavior.
Conclusion
It's clear that the staff at this playground need to address their lack of effectiveness in managing the children's behavior and ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all. The first reviewer highlights the positive aspects of the playground, but the second reviewer's review paints a very different picture.
