At A Handyman's Haven, we pride ourselves on being a local owned family retail supply store, stocked with building materials for your handyman or contractor to meet all your project needs. Our story began in 1999 when Maurice and Sonja Saroni started the business as a returned merchandise business, where they purchased products from brokers, retailers, and other sources across the USA. The products were then sold at a discounted rate of 50% to 70% off. Our customers came from throughout Arizona, Western New Mexico, and Mexico, and many found us through our original website that listed over 10,000 items for sale.
Over the years, we have evolved and expanded our product line to include a wide range of building materials, such as door components, laminated flooring, and cabinets. Our mission is to provide exceptional customer service and offer competitive prices on all our products. We believe in building strong relationships with our customers and strive to be the trusted partner for all their home improvement needs.
Meet Our Team
Our team is comprised of experienced professionals who are passionate about their work. Maurice Saroni, our founder, graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a retired USAF Colonel with 20 years of service in the Arizona Air National Guard and has also flown for Continental Airlines Inc.
Sonja Saroni, co-founder, retired from Continental Airlines, Inc as a Flight Attendant and joins Maurice in the business. Her experience includes being a Certified Elementary School Reading and Arts Specialist, Cashier, Manager of the Bakery and Employees Cafeteria, and Owner-Designer in her Pie Bakery Shoppe.
Vianney Saroni, our General Manager, graduated from Seattle Community College as a certified welding specialist. He also has five years of architectural design experience from CDO HS and the University of Arizona. His business experience includes Sales in outdoor sports and restaurants.
