Turning Your Idea Into Reality
Our Story
Welcome to the Wallingford Childcare Center, a welcoming and supportive environment that has been serving the community since 1968. Our journey began as a collaboration between the Wallingford United Methodist Church and the community, with the goal of providing high-quality early childhood education and care to children from the neighborhood and surrounding areas. Our commitment to building a positive and inclusive community has remained unwavering over the years, guided by our values of compassion, empathy, and a deep respect for each child's unique abilities and perspectives.

Overall Experience
The reviews of this daycare center are overwhelmingly positive, with four out of five parents raving about the staff, facilities, and community. Many of the reviewers mention the wonderful teachers, loving environment, and sense of family and community. The outdoor play area is a particular highlight, with one reviewer calling it "unmatched" by other daycares in the neighborhood.
Teacher and Staff
The teachers and staff are consistently praised for their care, love, and dedication. Parents appreciate the personal attention and connection they feel with the educators, which is a major factor in their children's success and happiness. The teachers are described as "wonderful" and "loving", and the administration is also commended for their responsiveness and helpfulness.
Facilities and Amenities
The daycare center's facilities are also a major draw, with reviewers raving about the on-site cook and the outdoor play area. The cook is described as "fabulous", and the outdoor space is praised for its quality and uniqueness. Additionally, the center's monthly happy hours and annual camping trip are seen as a major benefit, allowing parents to connect with each other and feel part of a larger community.
Responsiveness and Communication
One reviewer raises some concerns about the center's responsiveness and communication, citing a lack of replies to emails and phone calls. However, another reviewer mentions that the center has improved their communication in recent months, providing more timely and helpful responses to parents.
Management
Unfortunately, one reviewer reports a very negative experience with the center's management, describing the director and assistant as "irresponsible" and unresponsive. This reviewer felt that the center was more interested in getting their money than in providing a reliable service.
