Honoring and Remembering Every Life

At Lewis Funeral Home, we are proud to be a family-owned business that has been serving the San Antonio community for over 100 years. Our commitment to excellence and our dedication to our families have made us the trusted choice for funeral service in the region.

Our History

The Lewis Funeral Home was founded in 1909 by the late Mr. Frank E. Lewis, who returned to San Antonio after completing his studies at Chicago's School of Mortuary Science. After receiving his embalmer's and funeral director's licenses from the State of Texas, Mr. Lewis opened a funeral parlor in a two-room house on San Antonio's Eastside. Over the years, the business has remained in the same family, with multiple generations of the Lewis family being involved in the funeral industry.
